Gardiner – School Business Manager What were the reasons for developing your outdoor space? The existing courtyard area was tired and unused due to uneven paving. How we transformed the play area to provide outdoor learning opportunities for the children: Our specialist surfacing team produced an exciting new area for the school to use by providing 35mm Artificial Grass with a 10mm Shock Pad underneath for comfort. There was some slight levelling to be done and plenty of drain covers to work around but this was no problem at all proving that any existing space can be transformed into a useable, appealing, exciting zone. How the children will benefit from the new play area: The children now have an additional space for outdoor learning. All sorts of lessons can be taken in the new courtyard.
