What were the reasons for developing your outdoor space?

“Improving the village amenities for children, encouraging families onto the recreation ground”

How we transformed the play area to provide outdoor learning opportunities for the children:

The design split the recreation ground into two areas to cater for different ages of children and activities.

The first area provides swinging activities using the Timber Multi-Swing which includes a Group Swing, Double Junior Swing and a Toddler Swing. This area also included a Forest Climber Midi.

The area for the younger age children included a 0.6m High Single Multi-Play Tower with Moulded Slide, Stairs and a Fireman’s Pole. A Moo Springer caters for the infants and Stepping Logs for the Early Years. To improve the amenities a litter bin and bench were provided. The bench allows supervision for the younger children whilst playing.

How the children will benefit from the new play area:

The Multi-Swing encourages Active and Social Play. The thrill of swinging is important in any play space as children simply enjoy the feeling. Our Swings provide an exciting meeting place for children who want to improve their sense of risk and adventure. The basket seat also means children can interact and experience the excitement together.

Our Forest Climber Midi is designed to replicate a natural, challenging and enjoyable climbing environment. They will bring a modern feel to any new play area. Consisting of a scattered log design with a base net and hand ropes, your children will have many different levels of balancing and climbing challenges to test their abilities. Whilst also encouraging them to use their imagination and help develop coordination and physical activity.

The Multi-Play Tower provides play activities including climbing, sliding and stepping to help develop gross motor skills.

Our Moo Springer provides the smaller children an exciting opportunity to feel the thrill of springing back and forth.

What were your main reasons for working with EPE over other competitors?

“Price and the look of the products which were mostly wood”
