Birkbeck Primary School Sidcup - Kent Built: February 1, 2016 What were the reasons for developing your outdoor space? The school’s Tarmac play area had been re-laid leaving an open area ready for some sports and educational graphics. How we transformed the play area to provide outdoor learning opportunities for the children: We supplied and laid a Hopscotch, Chess Board, 1-100 Number Grid Solid, Clock Compass, Football Markings and a 30m x 15m Netball Court. How the children will benefit from the new play area: The selection of graphics chosen by the school provide active and imaginative learning opportunities to all ages of children whilst helping them to improve numeracy and communication skills. The dedicated sports areas now allow the children to increase their physical activity during school lessons and break times. Address: Sidcup – Kent
