Northway Special School is a positive and inclusive learning community in which all are valued. They wanted to include a challenging but inclusive sports activity to their grass play area. How we transformed the play area to provide outdoor learning opportunities for the children: The school already had a dedicated football pitch complete with goals so Basketball was the perfect sport to add to the play area. We installed one of our height adjustable Basketball Posts, meaning with slight adjustments by the caretaker children of any age and ability can take part in the new sport. How the children will benefit from the new play area: The Basketball post will provide an inclusive new activity to help the children play together or on their own. It will help increase physical activity whilst developing their hand and eye coordination skills.
