What were the reasons for developing your outdoor space?

“We were wanting to increase independent opportunities for physical activity during break and lunchtimes as well as enhancing resources for PE lessons.”

How we transformed the play area to provide outdoor learning opportunities for the children:

After discussions with the school a selection of Outdoor Gym Equipment was selected to help encourage further physical activity within school. Grass mats were installed around the equipment to help ensure to equipment is accessible in all weather conditions.

How the children will benefit from the new play area:

Each item will help get children physically active and achieve their recommended five hours of PE and School Sport each week. The new equipment will encourage physical activity, a healthy lifestyle and help combat childhood obesity.
