Yexley – School Business Manager What were the reasons for developing your outdoor space? “Our climbing frame that was replaced with this new frame was declared “dead” so it was taken away in July. We then received a £1000 grant from Tesco Bags of Help to go towards a new piece of equipment.” How we transformed the play area to provide outdoor learning opportunities for the children: The school chose one of our Play Frame 2 units which consists of: A Rope Traverse, Traverse Wall, Log Roll and Rope Weave. The Play Frame was surfaced with Grass Mat Safety Surfacing to add extra protection and comfort. How the children will benefit from the new play area: There are now many ways for the children to improve their health and fitness by choosing how they want to use the new Play Frame. They’ll be able to develop upper and lower body strength, coordination and better fitness through balancing, climbing, traversing, swinging, stepping and jumping. Would you work with us again?
