Yandell – Head Teacher What were the reasons for developing your outdoor space? The school were taking care of some wider school improvements and the play area was part of the funding. How we transformed the play area to provide outdoor learning opportunities for the children: We supplied and laid a Mirror Moves and a Roadway including traffic lights, parking spaces, roundabout, give way signs, stop signs, mechanics garage and car wash. Three new play panels were installed, a Magnetic Nought and Crosses, Clockwork Panel and a Fire Engine. All the panels were covered with bespoke sized shade sails to provide shade and shelter whilst the children use the panels. How the children will benefit from the new play area: The road track will also provide a valuable area to introduce the children to proper road safety practices.
